Seafaring Bucket

Sometimes things get personal… As it was in Feb of this year when we went back to NZ to scatter my mum’s ashes of the coast of Taranaki. My mum ran off with a sailor after having five kids with my dad. The sailor was “Ponti Jones” he sailed on the “Pamir”, a four-masted barque and one of the last commercially trading, wooden sailing vessels to ply NZ and international waters. The very last to go around Cape Horn. My niece had a new tattoo based on a painting of the Pamir sailing into San Francisco Harbour. This was the image and the connection I had been searching for to do my new design “Seafaring Bucket”, see if you can spot Mr Bucket.
